Joseph Ciofalo
Channel Manager
How did you get into indirect sales?
Well after being in the IT & UC industry for ten years, becoming a Channel Manager was something I organically evolved into. Building relationships is an essential key to being successful and this is naturally who I progressed to be in my career. When I wake up every day, I'm jazzed to grow my network, meet new people, help connect the right people with the right products to solve complex problems and achieve their desired business outcomes. Something that had a big influence me on deciding on this role was having the opportunity to work with Shelby Cooper, VP of Channel Sales, West again. He's someone with 30 plus successful years that is an overall ethical figure in the channel community. I am truly fortunate to have a mentor & someone I consider a friend to help me with growth in my career as a Channel Manager. Proud to call him my VP.
What was your favorite childhood summer activity?
Growing up, during the summer my mother would take my sister & younger brothers and I to the beach just about every day. We had a group of about 25 kids that would play 9 innings of baseball every day.
What was your first job?
11 Years old at my father’s Barbershop. Asked my father for $20.00 on a Friday night to go a local roller rink and he said sure, but you need to come work at the shop on Saturday. So, every Friday I would get a $20.00 advance & every Saturday would be sweeping, cleaning, answering phone calls, booking clients on the calendar, and working the cash register to check guests in and out.
Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?
Sicily is the next place on my travel bucket list because I want to experience the mountains, smell the Tyrrhenian & Mediterranean Seas, and taste the food from each of the villages my father & mothers’ families are from.
What is the best team outing you have ever attended?
Channel Partners Expo 2023 in Las Vegas!
